Anhui University of Technology (AHUT) heldthe opening ceremony for 2022 international students at Xiushan campuson the afternoon of September 23. Vice President Gu Mingyan attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. Participants include leaders from School of Postgraduate Education, Administration Office of Teaching Affairs, staff members from School of International Education and international students on campus. Representatives of teaching staff and international studentsold and new made a speech at the ceremony.
Vice President Gu Mingyan, on behalf of AHUT, warmly welcomed the 86 new international students from 18countries and regions.Taking all2022 international students as members of the family of AHUT, Gu hoped that international students could become more competent international talents,adapt to the new environment as soon as possible, learn Chinese language to getbetter understanding of Chinesesituation andculture, andbe equipped with high cross-cultural communicationcompetence. She encouraged international students to spread the seed offriendship and make contribution to international understanding and the building of a world of shared future.
On behalf of faculty members, Ms.Xia Jinyuan expressed her welcome and encouraged the freshmen of international studentsto improve their Chinese language proficiency to better enjoy the experience in China, understand China and Chinese people better, and disseminateChinese stories.
